We are just shy of 1 month into the launch of this project and we are getting 1 to 3 new caches a day approved and active.
The 1st of the 59 ODS: Thanks ParkerPlus caches was just placed in Kansas! For those that don't know, Neil Parker donated 10K of the 12,500+ micros released in the project.
We have caches in 15 states and 2 countries outside the US!
A total of 75 caches have been placed. One is member's only so ODS: Prime can't log it yet and 6 have notes on them respectfully awaiting an FTF log before ODS:P logs a find. A few more are awaiting approval or are holding approval to be available on the day of an event this weekend.
There have been a few issues other than just location/permission concerns getting some of these caches approved. I will try my best to tweak this project and the cache templates to settle any qualms that any reviewer brings up, so please email me privately if there are issues that I can help with other than location.
I have been having no end of fun looking at how folks are setting up their cache pages and some are pretty inventive. The ones using backgrounds from the project pictures and ODS:P's profile are really neat. I got quite a chuckle from the one hidden on 6-6-06, so take a look at ODS: Prime's stats to get some ideas on how you would like to participate.
If you have had a cache named for you, put a note on the page and say "Hi," or email the hider and thank them, or both. This project is about community building, so don't hesitate to join in on the fun and maybe start a new friendship with someone you may have NEVER met if it wasn't for a cache hidden in this project.
Can't wait to see where it goes from here!
