I didn't realize the plan that was in effect for all the caches associated with the ODS project. I just barely got two of my ODS caches approved today and guess who the FTF is? ODS Prime!
I don't mean to cause a stink but I don't think that logging all the ODS caches is a way to "Track" all of the caches. It won't take long and ODS Prime will be the world wide leader in the number of cache finds! The owners of the One Degree cache project said it themselves that there is a possibility of 13,000 caches coming out of this huge project.
Since this is the area to post suggestions, this is mine:
Don't log all the caches as "Found", instead add them into bookmarks by state. Doing this would be way more handy. For example, let's say I wanted to be the leader in ODS cache finds for the state of Idaho. It's going to be a little tough to weed through all the other states to find just the Idaho ones. If all the Idaho ODS caches were in one "public" bookmark, I could run a pocket querry for ODS caches in the entire state.
I f I was going to Utah tomorrow, I could do the same for that state.
I'm not sure how many Bookmarks a user is allowed but I would bet that for a project this huge Groundspeak would be willing to give you a few more so that you could have an ODS bookmark for every state.
You could then list all the individual state bookmarks on the "Profile" page for ODS Prime in alphabetical order under the "Latest News" category.
I'm sorry, but until a real cacher comes and signs my log books, I'm not going to let a fake log stand. I'm going to delete both of your logs on those two caches and your welcome to come back again and re-log them.
I'm thinking that eventually Groundspeak is going to shut ODS Prime down like they did all the "Fake" pocket caches at GeoWoodstock 4 unless you use another method of "tracking" all the caches.
Anybody and everybody is welcome to add suggestions to my suggestion. I may create a poll and see how the voting goes. I for one don't care how you track them as long as ODS Prime isn't FTF on mine.
