Folks,
I'm proud to say that ODS: Prime just logged a note on the 200th cache in this project. 189 Found it logs and 11 Notes waiting for an FTF so ODS can log it....
We are now in 27 U.S. states and 4 foreign countries! (Including 3 Canadian Provinces)
At just a tick over 2 months into the project launch, we are ON TRACK to break 1,000 caches listed in the project THIS year! YAY!
Thanks so much to EVERYONE for their participation. You have made all the time and expense worthwhile.

We are just shy of 1 month into the launch of this project and we are getting 1 to 3 new caches a day approved and active. The 1st of the 59 ODS: Thanks ParkerPlus caches was just placed in Kansas! For those that don't know, Neil Parker donated 10K of the 12,500+ micros released in the project. We have caches in 15 states and 2 countries outside the US! A total of 75 caches have been placed. One is member's only so ODS: Prime can't log it yet and 6 have notes on them respectfully awaiting an FTF log before ODS:P logs a find. A few more are awaiting approval or are holding approval to be available on the day of an event this weekend. There have been a few issues other than just location/permission concerns getting some of these caches approved. I will try my best to tweak this project and the cache templates to settle any qualms that any reviewer brings up, so please email me privately if there are issues that I can help with other than location. I have been having no end of fun looking at how folks are setting up their cache pages and some are pretty inventive. The ones using backgrounds from the project pictures and ODS:P's profile are really neat. I got quite a chuckle from the one hidden on 6-6-06, so take a look at ODS: Prime's stats to get some ideas on how you would like to participate. If you have had a cache named for you, put a note on the page and say "Hi," or email the hider and thank them, or both. This project is about community building, so don't hesitate to join in on the fun and maybe start a new friendship with someone you may have NEVER met if it wasn't for a cache hidden in this project. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

In just a few days I will have very limited internet access for about 5 weeks or so. It might take several days to get questions answered or to respond to suggestions in the suggestion box, but I'll tryyy to maintain this forum as frequently as possible.

Thanks to SockPuppet/MTP here is a visual of the project just two weeks old: If you go to geocaching.com and use the key word search and use the word separation you can track the progress.

WOW! Folks, let me just say that this project is already an overwhelming success in my eyes. I can't tell you how happy this has made me and the S.E. Texas GeoFamily over the past couple of weeks. Thanks to EVERYONE who attended the ODS main event in Cedar Hill SP and the many others who have opted in and quickly hidden the seeds from the first seed pods being placed. For those that don't KNOW already, I asked my Snoogstress to marry me just moments after I left the event and she said YES! (Rumor Control: I was, in fact, wearing a coconut bra and a Hawaiian lei.) We are getting married on April 8, 2007. There will be a GeoWedding Flotilla Event, on the Guadalupe River, sometime in the summer after that. (Shootin' for 7-7-07.) Many have noticed that ODS: PRIME! has not logged their caches and are wondering what's going on with that..... I will be logging the ODS PRIME finds whenever I get a chance. It shouldn't be too much longer before I can start getting caught up. I never expected to be so far behind just two weeks after launch, but that's actually a sign of how well the project is doing. BTW I've been doing some research on getting an ODS coin minted. I will announce details as they become available. I've gotten some honest feedback about this site and the project and will be trying fix areas that have caused confusion. [glow=red,2,300]If anyone has a suggestion on how to make the project better, or a comment whether positive or negative, the suggestion box is set up where you would not have to log in to speak your mind unless you want to.[/glow] You can also email me if you do not want your thoughts posted on an open forum. THANKS AGAIN! ;D ;D ;D Sn gans

Well, I got no takers and I came up with my own logo on my own.
It is a chain with 6 links representing the 6 degrees of the Small World Theory.

I'd also like to get a trackable Snoogans coin minted and have a unique icon too, so if anyone has any coin/icon ideas they can submit them to me as well. I already have some designs working and the logos that DinoHunters gave me awhile back, but nothing is firm. Let's see what you can come up with.... Here we go again: What's in it for you if your coin or logo/icon design is picked? Well, first off there's the fame and the adoration of the opposite sex..... Realistically, I can't promise much. I'll probably lose money on the coins, but I still want to do this even if they don't make it to the first event. So, how about a 1 free Snoogans coin for the winning designs? Oh, and a free sample of whatever else your design is used for. (Who knows, the logo could end up as a t-shirt or sumthin'.) Of the first run of Snoogans coins, about 150 will be trackable and the rest will probably just be numbered..... Things are subject to change rapidly and without notice as with the other contest. This is also a chance that this coin could be put on hold.... I will make the final decision on coin and logo/icon design and again, this coin could very well be on hold for awhile if minting of the One Degree coins proves too costly....

What should the coins and logo look like? Uhhhh, haven't a clue... Whatever encompases the concept of this project will win. I DO want to have the geocaching logo on the first run of the coins. The logo should sum up the whole idea as much as possible.... Well, I kinda have a rough idea of a logo design: A chain with 6 links that represent the six degrees of the "Small World Theory."
